Laboratory Analyst I

Role Overview The Analyst I prepares and analyzes environmental samples using standard techniques and EPA methodologies in compliance with quality assurance standards. Key Responsibilities Perform routine lab tasks such as sample preparation, chemical analysis, data calculation, and recording results. Maintain laboratory instruments and ensure safety, cleanliness, and adherence to environmental, health, and safety protocols. Gain proficiency with complex instrumentation including gas chromatography, mass spectrometry, atomic absorption, and ICP systems. Follow written and verbal instructions, ensuring accurate, timely, and quality work within established procedures. Contribute to a safe, efficient work environment and perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related field; 3 years of lab experience may substitute. Experience in laboratory work or production environments is beneficial. Strong reading, writing, speaking, problem-solving, organization, and time management skills. Ability to work independently and follow protocols across disciplines such as organic, metals, radio chemistry, and wet chemistry. Proficiency in English and authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions. Additional Details This full-time role involves working Monday to Friday, with a pay rate of $20/hr.
