Position Director of Quality Description In this role, the Director of Quality is responsible for the strategic leadership, development, and execution of the Quality Management System (QMS) across all IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) operations. This position requires deep ITAD industry expertise and ensures full compliance with ISO standards, R2v3 certification requirements, and data security protocols, while driving a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. The Director of Quality partners cross-functionally with Operations, IT, Compliance, and executive leadership to align quality initiatives with business objectives, scale processes, and maintain industry-leading standards across all processing, data destruction, and downstream vendor management activities. This role is critical in maintaining certification readiness, leading enterprise-wide audits, ensuring environmental and data compliance, and positioning the organization as a trusted ITAD provider. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the Quality Management System (QMS) across all ITAD operations Ensure full compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, ISO 45001, and R2v3 standards Establish and enforce quality standards across the entire ITAD lifecycle, including receiving, processing, data destruction, and downstream vendor management Lead all internal and external certification audits, including registrar and customer audits Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, improve efficiency, and enhance customer satisfaction Oversee environmental, health, safety (EHS), and data security compliance in alignment with regulatory and certification requirements Develop and execute quality strategies that support organizational growth and scalability Serve as the primary point of contact for quality-related escalations, client requirements, and regulatory inquiries Build, lead, and develop a high-performing quality team, including training, mentoring, and performance management Partner with Operations and IT to implement systems, controls, and reporting that enhance visibility and accountability Ensure SOPs, work instructions, and documentation are standardized, controlled, and audit-ready at all times Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Environmental Science, Operations, or related field (preferred) 7+ years of progressive quality leadership experience within ITAD services (required) Proven experience managing QMS within certified ITAD environments (R2v3 required; e-Stewards a plus) 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams and cross-functional initiatives Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, ISO 45001 standards Demonstrated success leading audits, maintaining certifications, and driving continuous improvement Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment Ability to pass a background check and drug screen Certifications (Preferred) R2v3 Auditor Certification ISO Lead Auditor (9001, 14001, 27001, or 45001) Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) Physical Requirements & Work Environment Combination of office and warehouse/production floor environment Exposure to electronic processing equipment, noise, and material handling Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs as needed Travel up to 20% within the U.S. and Mexico Schedule Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
