This role involves performing basic cleaning and trash cleanup while working at a designated station to sort and manage different types of waste. You will stand for most of the shift and help maintain a clean, professional environment across offices, cafeterias, and stockrooms.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily trash cleanup, including collecting, sorting, and disposing of waste from designated areas.
• Stand at an assigned station and carefully sort trash into appropriate containers according to established guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness in offices, cafeterias, stockrooms, and other facility areas as needed.
• Carry out general housekeeping duties such as sweeping, wiping surfaces, and keeping work areas tidy.
• Follow all site procedures and safety practices while handling trash and cleaning materials.
• Report any issues related to cleanliness, equipment, or safety to the appropriate contact on site.
• Work consistently throughout the shift while standing and moving between assigned areas as required.

• At least 1 year of cleaning, housekeeping, custodial, or janitorial experience.
• Ability to perform general labor tasks, including standing for long periods and handling trash and cleaning materials.
• Experience with basic janitorial duties such as sweeping and general cleanup.
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to site-specific cleaning and sorting procedures.
• Strong attention to detail when sorting trash and maintaining cleanliness.

• Any prior experience as a housekeeper, custodian, or janitor is highly beneficial but not strictly required.
• Comfort working in a professional facility that includes offices, cafeterias, and stockrooms.
• Ability to communicate effectively; bilingual abilities are accommodated and welcomed.
• Reliability and punctuality for a consistent Monday through Friday schedule.

Work Environment

This position is fully onsite in a professional facility that includes offices, cafeterias, and stockrooms. You will work indoors throughout your shift and spend most of the day standing at a designated station while sorting trash and performing cleaning tasks. The schedule runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., providing a consistent daytime work pattern. The environment emphasizes professionalism, cleanliness, and adherence to site procedures, with accommodations for bilingual workers.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Foster City, CA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
