Maintenance Director

Position: Full-Time Maintenance Director, Tuesday‑Saturday Pay Range: $33‑$40/Hour Ivy Park at Play Vista is a premier senior living community situated on a beautifully landscaped campus. Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits Vacation, Personal Day, Sick Pay, Holidays Complimentary Meals Bonus Opportunities Company Paid Life Insurance Team Member Discount Program (LifeMart) 401(k) Savings Plan with Company Match Recognition Programs Student Loan Refinancing Pet Insurance Employee Assistance Program Emergency Financial Assistance Responsibilities Demonstrate mechanical ability and/or self‑teaching capability to work on equipment such as washers, extractors, dryers, refrigeration and heating units, ice machines, minor plumbing, minor electrical difficulties such as replacing wall switches, receptacles, loose wiring, resident call devices; carpentry and painting, etc. Electrical Duties: Troubleshoot, identify problems, and repair electrical difficulties including wall switches, lighting, cover plates, receptacles, loose wiring, resident call systems, control devices, laundry, and kitchen equipment. Structural Duties: Plan, order, and install cabinets for remodeling of apartments; perform carpentry duties such as repairing or replacing sheetrock, plywood, or other structural materials. Painting Duties: Plan, order, and perform painting requirements (interior/exterior) of the complex; dispose of materials in compliance with local, state, and federal EPA guidelines. Plumbing Duties: Plan, order, and perform minor plumbing tasks including repairing faucets, showers, drains, and other plumbing problems. Conduct daily inspection of the property’s outside grounds and correct any needed items promptly to ensure the property is always tour‑ready. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Prefer two (2) years experience in the building industry, maintenance and/or housekeeping; knowledge of building construction helpful. Prefer one (1) year of experience supervising and managing employees. Able to safely operate a wide variety of equipment and tools. Knowledge of and/or ability to learn the theory and practice of assisted living and dementia care. Able to work with seniors and interact patiently with cognitively impaired individuals. Adaptable, able to respond to change, make decisions in stressful situations, and prioritize tasks and projects. Must pass a criminal background check and health screening tests, including physical and TB tests. Compliance with health and safety protocols, including vaccination and PPE requirements for COVID‑19 or other communicable diseases.
