Assistant Food Service Manager

Summary Provides fast, friendly, helpful and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Assists in training, scheduling and inventory control within food court operation to promote optimal opportunity for sales. Oversees staff and ensures all corporate and state sanitation regulations are adhered to at all times. May assist with cooking large quantities of food supplied to finishing cooks. Has formal knowledge of recipes and cooking styles. Pay Range $18.00 – $27.00 (starting at $22/hour) Essential Duties and Responsibilities Consistently provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service. Smiling, making eye contact and thanking customers upon fulfilling requests. Sampling and suggestive selling; end each transaction with "Thank You". Maintain a neat, clean and organized workstation according to 5S standards. Assist with day‑to‑day operation of the food court area, including training, scheduling and inventory control. Prepare and cook mass levels of food for finishing cooks as required. Show thorough knowledge of recipes and ingredient formulas for food court areas. Ensure associates adhere to company and state sanitation policies. Control shrink through adherence to related policies. Maintain cold case logs, hot food logs and cooling logs consistent with store policy. Perform other related duties as assigned by management. Minimum Qualifications At least 18 years of age. Ability to manage others and demonstrate follow‑through to achieve desired results and objectives. Satisfactory performance reviews. Strong communication skills. Basic literacy. Basic computer skills. Education and Experience High School Degree or equivalent. 6–12 months of related experience.
