GPI is seeking a full-time Assistant Designer for our growing Urban Transportation & Design Team. We are seeking an individual who is eager to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers in a dynamic office environment on engaging and challenging projects. Projects with our Urban Mobility & Design Team involve varying types of roadway and intersection designs with a focus on multi-modal urban complete street projects, including providing accommodations for pedestrians, cyclists, transit users, motorists, and meeting accessibility requirements. Base pay range: $79,000.00/yr - $87,000.00/yr What You'll Be Doing (Responsibilities): Prepare construction plans, specifications, and estimates for transportation projects for public agencies and municipalities, with a focus on multi‑modal designs and safety & accessibility improvements Assist in roadway design including roadway alignments, including Civil 3D Corridor modeling, horizontal and vertical alignments, cross‑sections, grading, drainage design, and utility relocations Utilize construction understanding to develop temporary traffic control and construction staging plans What You Bring to the Table (Qualifications): BS in Civil Engineering Proficiency using Autodesk Civil 3D software Experience with New England public agency clients, particularly MassDOT and City of Boston GPI offers excellent benefits, including a 401(k) plan, ESOP, medical/dental/vision plans, paid time off, and more.
