Cardiothoracic Intensivist

The Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Service line at Northwell Health's South Shore University Hospital is seeking an experienced Full-time Intensivist to join our team in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Located 30 miles east of NYC, South Shore University Hospital is a rapidly growing 305-bed tertiary facility with plans to expand to over four hundred beds. The dedicated Cardiothoracic Surgery service line performs 600 cardiac-related surgeries per year, encompassing open procedures, transcatheter-based therapies, ECMO, and LV support. Qualified clinicians will join Northwell Physician Partners and have access to academic appointments with The Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. Practice Info Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (ICU) South Shore University Hospital is the eastern most Long Island tertiary hospital for Northwell Health, located 30 miles east of NYC 305-bed hospital with plans to potentially expand to over four hundred beds Cardiothoracic Surgery Intensive Care Unit is a 10-bed ICU unit with an additional 4 Stepdown beds Cardiothoracic Surgery service line performs 600 cardiac related surgeries per year from open procedures, transcatheter based therapies, ECMO, and LV support for high-risk PCI Compensation Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity Benefits Benefits package Academic appointment with The Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell is commensurate with credentials and experience Shift & Schedule Full-time Qualifications Candidates must be fellowship trained Board Certified in Critical Care or Thoracic Surgery Primary board certifications can include Internal Medicine, Anesthesia, Emergency Medicine, or General Surgery Candidates graduating from their sub-specialty training will also be considered depending upon CTICU experience during fellowship training Candidates should carry exceptional inter-personal skills with a goal of sharing a vision of unparalleled delivery of care through teamwork, collaboration, innovation, and persistence for excellence
