Architect / Designer 7+ Years Experience

NYC design firm seeks a talented, enthusiastic, and self-motivated Senior Project Architect to join our team. Kostow Greenwood Architects is a dedicated studio focused on work in the performing arts, media, broadcast, and real estate development industries. We encourage continuing education for all team members, provide NCARB/AXP experience fulfillment, and offer paid time to take ARE exams. The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications: 7+ years of post-graduate professional experience in an architecture office. Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited institution. NYS architectural licensure strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of NYC Building Code, ADA, zoning, and NYC filing/review processes, with experience on built projects. Ability to independently lead projects from concept design through construction administration with limited principal oversight. Comfortable serving as the primary day-to-day client contact and representing KGA in meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and agencies. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, teams, schedules, and consultant coordination simultaneously. Ability to produce and oversee complex drawing sets with minimal supervision. Experience mentoring and managing junior staff and fostering strong team collaboration. Strong design, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Advanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD. Additional software experience including Rhino, SketchUp, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Familiarity with building systems and the ability to coordinate across multiple consultant disciplines. Reliable, focused, creative, detail-oriented, and proactive. Strong interpersonal skills and professional presence. Interest in building long-term client relationships and contributing to future business opportunities for the firm. Sense of humor and collaborative attitude appreciated. This is a hybrid position with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote. Dog-friendly office. The expected salary range for this position is $90,000 to $100,000.
