Make an impact supporting students’ growth as a dedicated Occupational Therapist in a supportive educational environment. This full-time contract position covers the entire school year and is located within easy reach of Hayward, CA. Help students achieve their potential as you provide expert OT services within dynamic school settings.
Ideal candidates should have:
- Valid Occupational Therapist licensure in California
- Previous experience providing OT services in school settings
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with teachers, parents, and staff
- Ability to assess and address a range of student needs, from sensory-motor skills to fine motor development
- Organizational skills for managing caseloads and documentation
- Commitment to professional growth and best practices in pediatric OT
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to students’ unique challenges
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services as specified in IEPs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support for each student
- Document progress and communicate regularly with families and school personnel
- Educate staff on classroom strategies to support student participation and success
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive school environment
