About Gem Prep Gem Prep is a K-12 college preparatory school. Our goal is to have all secondary students graduate from high school with an associate degree. Self-Aware, Self-Directed, Self-Disciplined Creative Problem-Solver Skilled Communicator and Collaborator Civic-Minded Summary: The human resources generalist will perform administrative tasks and services to support the effective and efficient operations of the organization's human resources department. Responsibilities: Maintains accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation. Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees regarding policies, benefits, hiring processes, and fixing HR process errors. Provides clerical support to the HR director. Administratively assists with the recruitment process. Assists with HR related special events such as benefits enrollment, new hire training, and recruitment events. Manages the applicant tracking system that the organization uses. Collects and assists with time cards. Performs fingerprints for submittal of background checks. Other duties as assigned. Prior experience in education or office setting preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Dependability Interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. Organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience or the ability to learn HR informational systems; Gem Prep uses Skyward, Red Rover, and PowerSchool platforms. #J-18808-Ljbffr
