Pharmacy Technician in Irving, TX

Immediate opening for a Pharmacy Technician to support an AIDS/HIV specialty pharmacy serving a community health network in Arlington, TX. This 13-week contract begins ASAP on 4/6, offering weekday shifts Monday through Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Fridays 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.


This role requires respect and sensitivity working within the HIV/AIDS patient population. The technician will perform typical retail pharmacy duties including accurate data entry and dispensing medications. Proficiency in QS1 software is a plus. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact compassionately with patients are essential.


Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Minimum 1 year experience in retail pharmacy setting
• Previous experience dispensing HIV/AIDS medications required
• Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Texas; PTCB certification a plus
• Fast learner with the ability to adapt quickly to new protocols
• Spanish-speaking candidates highly preferred to better serve patient needs

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense medications following pharmacy regulations
• Maintain detailed and compliant patient records and data entry
• Communicate effectively and respectfully with patients and healthcare team
• Adhere to privacy and confidentiality policies specific to HIV/AIDS care

Schedule:

• Monday to Thursday: 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
• Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
