Step into a rewarding contract assignment as a Special Education Teacher, supporting 5th and 6th graders in a close-knit, life skills/intensive needs program. This school-based opportunity near Derry, NH spans from this school year through June 2027, allowing you to create meaningful progress over several years with a consistent team and student group.

You’ll be the dedicated case manager and lead teacher for a small caseload—just three students this year—making a major difference in their academic and personal development. As a key collaborator, you’ll work Monday through Friday, full time (35–37.5 hours per week), playing an integral role in the school community and building supportive relationships with students, families, and staff.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher license (NH or eligible for NH certification)
• Previous experience with life skills or intensive needs programs preferred
• Strong background in managing IEP processes and case management
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Patience, flexibility, and a passion for personalized instruction

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging instruction tailored to individual student needs
• Serve as program case manager—develop, monitor, and implement IEPs
• Foster academic, social, and life skills growth for students
• Work collaboratively with paraprofessionals, therapists, and families
• Maintain detailed documentation and comply with all district and state requirements
