This position plays a key role in providing quality meal service and maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary dining environment for our residents.Key ResponsibilitiesLearn and follow facility food service procedures and routinesSet up resident meal trays accurately and efficientlyServe meals and assist residents during meal service as neededClear and break down meal trays following serviceOperate commercial dishwashing equipmentMonitor and record dishwasher temperatures and sanitation levelsPrepare snacks, nourishments, and supplements for residentsSweep and mop kitchen and dietary areasClean work surfaces, refrigerators, and kitchen equipmentProperly store groceries and suppliesRemove trash and maintain a sanitary work environmentAssist cooks and dietary supervisors as neededParticipate in department orientation and ongoing trainingWork cooperatively with team members and other facility departmentsFollow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control proceduresQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredPrevious food service experience is a plus, but not requiredMust obtain and maintain a Food Handler's CertificateStrong teamwork and communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentDependable attendance and a positive attitudeCompassion for an underserved populationWe are an equal opportunity employer.
