This position plays an important role in providing quality meal service and maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen environment for our residents.Key ResponsibilitiesLearn and follow facility food service procedures and routinesSet up and distribute meal traysAssist with meal service for residentsClear and break down meal trays after serviceWash dishes and operate commercial dishwashing equipmentCheck and document dish machine temperatures and sanitation levelsPrepare snacks and nourishments for residentsSweep, mop, and maintain kitchen and dietary department floorsClean work surfaces, refrigerators, and food preparation areasStore groceries and supplies in a safe and organized mannerRemove trash and maintain a clean, sanitary work environmentAssist cooks and dietary supervisors as neededParticipate in orientation and ongoing training programsWork cooperatively with team members and other facility departmentsFollow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control proceduresQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredPrevious food service experience is a plus, but not requiredMust obtain and maintain a Food Handler's CertificateAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentStrong teamwork and communication skillsDependable attendance and positive attitudeCompassion for an underserved populationWe are an equal opportunity employer.
