Cyber Security Analyst

The Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for the administration, monitoring, and optimization of the firm's Microsoft security ecosystem, including Microsoft Defender, Entra ID, Purview, and related security technologies. This role focuses on identity security, threat detection, data protection, incident response, and security operations while partnering with IT and business stakeholders to strengthen the organization's overall security posture. Responsibilities Investigate and respond to security alerts, incidents, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activity; coordinate remediation efforts across technical teams. Manage Microsoft Entra ID, including Conditional Access, MFA, SSO, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Identity Governance, and user lifecycle processes. Implement and maintain role-based access controls, privileged access management, and periodic access reviews. Administer Microsoft Purview capabilities, including Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Information Protection, Data Classification, Insider Risk, and eDiscovery. Monitor and enhance the organization's security posture through proactive threat detection, security monitoring, and operational improvements. Support security awareness initiatives, phishing simulations, and end-user cybersecurity training. Evaluate security controls for third-party vendors, SaaS applications, and new technology implementations. Maintain security documentation, procedures, operational metrics, and reporting for leadership. Participate in security projects, incident response activities, and ongoing security operations initiatives. Qualifications 4–6 years of experience in cybersecurity operations, security engineering, IAM, or security administration. Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Defender, Entra ID, and Purview. Strong knowledge of identity and access management concepts including MFA, SSO, RBAC, Conditional Access, and least‑privilege access models. Experience investigating security incidents, responding to threats, and supporting vulnerability management programs. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Azure security technologies. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills. Experience creating security reports, dashboards, and operational metrics. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and business teams. #J-18808-Ljbffr
