Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Must have an active RN license Certifications: Required certifications include BCLS Must-Have: Experience in the following areas within the last 3 years: General Surgery Orthopedic Surgery Robotic Surgery Gynecological Surgery Thoracic Surgery Ear, Nose, and Throat Surgery Oral Surgery Urology Whipple Procedure Plastic Surgery (free flap) Liver Resection Experience with Da Vinci XI Surgical System Description: The role involves providing nursing care in the operating room setting. You will be responsible for circulating and assisting in various surgical procedures. A call requirement of 40-60 hours in a 6-week schedule is expected. First-time travelers are accepted for this position. You may be asked to work in a charge capacity if needed. Scrub experience is a plus but not mandatory. The daily census averages 70-80 patients. Travelers are required to float within the facility or to nearby affiliate locations. Candidates must work 2 out of the 3 major holidays. This position involves a Monday to Friday schedule with on-call and holiday coverage. You should be familiar with relevant surgical procedures and protocols. Working knowledge of infection control standards is essential. You are expected to collaborate effectively with the surgical team. Communication and critical thinking skills are vital for this role. Adherence to safety standards and universal protocols is crucial.
