Job Summary Prepares clear, complete, and accurate working plans and detailed drawings from design templates, or from rough or detailed sketches or notes, by performing the duties and responsibilities of the position. This job description represents only the primary areas of responsibility; specific position assignments will vary depending on the needs of the department. Organizes and maintains project-related information that includes 3D CAD models, CAD drawings, material lists and related documentation. Determines completeness of project related information and requests information when necessary. Works closely with Sales, Project Engineering and Project Management to ensure all designs are per project specifications and schedule. Prepares drawings required for Customer approval, material procurement and for fabrication. Reviews drawings of peers to assure accuracy and best design practices. Assists the Engineering team in issuing project documents to the customer, fabricators, etc. Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned. Qualifications Associates degree in Computer Aided Design or related degree; preferred. Ability to calculate lengths, distances, angles, areas, volumes is required. 3D modeling experience is required. Strong computer skills desired. Computers (non-technical)— Knowledge of software, including applications and programming. Skills Critical thinking - Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. Management of Personnel Resources - Leading, motivating, developing, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job.
