Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (RNFA) - Orthopedics

Saint Agnes Medical Providers (SAMP) is seeking a full time Nurse Practitioner (NP) with RNFA certification and/or Physician Assistant (PA)to join a dynamic Sports Orthopedic Surgery teamin Fresno, California. This position supports a busy, growing orthopedic practice and works in close collaboration with a Sports Orthopedic Surgeon and multidisciplinary care team. The APP functions as an integral part of the care team, providing comprehensive patient care across surgical, inpatient, outpatient, and clinic settings, with a strong emphasis on perioperative management and surgical first assist responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Serve as Surgical First Assist during orthopedic procedures, following best practices and maintaining surgical safety standards. Provide perioperative patient care, including pre-operative evaluations, intraoperative assistance, and post-operative management. Conduct inpatient rounds and outpatient follow-ups to ensure continuity of care and optimal recovery outcomes. Perform comprehensive patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and assist in treatment planning. Coordinate and manage the care of assigned patients, including directing ancillary clinical staff as appropriate. Collaborate closely with orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, coordinated care. Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, surgical procedures, rehabilitation plans, and recovery expectations. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation. Participate in shared general orthopedic call responsibilities as part of the care team.
