No Job Description The Natick Public Schools music department is looking to add to our staff of after‑school music teachers to teach saxophone, clarinet, or woodwinds generally for grades 4–12. Job Goal: The ideal candidate will prepare and inspire students in an innovative, inclusive environment, developing their technical and musical skills while supporting the district’s mission of equity and excellence. Ideal Candidate Responsibilities Identify concepts and methods that advance playing for beginners through advanced students Implement technical lessons that correspond to the standards being taught in band classes Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners Teach in class, small group, duo, and private lessons Employ methods that motivate students Have strong classroom management skills Be able to work independently Prepare upper‑level students for recitals Be positive, encouraging, and foster a love of music Maintain high expectations for performance Schedule and workload TBD based on interest. Elementary lessons are generally between 11 AM and 1 PM, and middle school and high school after 2:00 PM. There is some flexibility to create an individualized schedule.
