Position SummaryThe Senior Specialist, Technical Applications Group (TAG), serves as the product and process lead for medium- to high-complexity innovation, renovation, and optimization projects. This role provides technical expertise across product development, process improvement, scale-up, validation, technology transfer, and commercialization activities while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The Senior Specialist partners cross-functionally to deliver technical solutions, support manufacturing operations, and drive business objectives. This is a fully onsite role in our Bridgewater , NJ location.ResponsibilitiesLead product, process, and formulation development activities for innovation, renovation, optimization, and productivity projectsProvide technical expertise to support formulation improvements, process optimization, troubleshooting, and cost-saving initiatives Lead scale-up, validation, and transfer of products and technologies to internal manufacturing sites and external partners Conduct and oversee technical trials, risk assessments, and qualification activities to ensure successful commercialization and product performanceAnticipate and resolve manufacturing, formulation, and quality issues to maintain project timelines and product standardsLead project execution, monitor progress, challenge assumptions when appropriate, and ensure achievement of project objectives and deadlinesCollaborate with Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and R&D teams to deliver project outcomesApply structured problem-solving methodologies to investigate and resolve technical and operational challengesSupport and maintain technical documentation, including master batch records, change controls, product specifications, QMS documentation, and related recordsMentor and coach junior team members while helping build technical capability across TAG and manufacturing teamsEnsure all work is conducted in accordance with company policies, safety standards, SOPs, cGMPs, and regulatory requirementsRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, Food Science, or a related field3+ years of hands-on product development, formulation, and manufacturing experience involving tablets, capsules, liquids, soft gels, gummies, powders, packaging, or related technologiesDemonstrated knowledge of product development, technical and manufacturing processes, and food science principlesExperience leading medium-complexity technical projects and working effectively within cross-functional teamsPrevious manufacturing or factory experienceExperience with product scale-up, validation, and technology transfer activitiesProficiency in Microsoft Office applications ( Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)Preferred experience with SAP, SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) and/or Minitab for data management, reporting, statistical analysis, and process improvement initiativesAbility to be exposed to food allergens and allergen-containing materials Knowledge of food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.Ability to travel approximately 30%SkillsEffective verbal and written communication across technical and non-technical audiencesAbility to build collaborative partnerships and influence cross-functional stakeholdersProficiency in data analysis, technical reporting, and decision-makingDemonstrated project leadership and prioritization capabilitiesExperience applying structured problem-solving approaches to technical challengesKnowledge of food safety, quality, and regulatory requirementsAbility to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentContinuous improvement mindset with a focus on innovation and operational excellenceThe approximate pay range for this position is $ 95K to $120K base salary. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
