Commissions may be quite large. Every year, about 15 Transworld Business Advisors exceed $1m in gross annual commissions.

Transworld Business Advisors is expanding its local team and looking for experienced professionals who want the independence of building an advisory practice with the resources of an established organization behind them.

Business Advisors, also commonly called Business Brokers or M&A Advisors, help clients confidentially market and sell privately held businesses and help qualified buyers identify and acquire companies.

THE ROLE

You will develop relationships with business owners, referral partners, and prospective buyers throughout the local business community.

When a client is ready to explore a sale, you will help gather business and financial information, prepare the company for confidential marketing, identify prospective buyers, coordinate meetings and negotiations, assist with due diligence, and help move the transaction toward closing.

This work combines business development, financial understanding, relationship management, negotiation, marketing, and project management.

EARNING POTENTIAL

This is a performance-based, 100% commission role.

According to Transworld's 2025 advisor production figures, 15 advisors exceeded $1 million in gross commissions, while more than 250 others generated between $100,000 and $1 million. The top advisor exceeded $3 million.

These results are not guaranteed or representative of every advisor. Individual results vary substantially based on experience, effort, transaction flow, market conditions, and closed transactions.

Compensation:

$100,000 - $120,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

• Develop relationships with business-oriented clients

• Generate and conduct prospective seller appointments

• Secure listing engagements

• Review and organize business information

• Prepare confidential marketing materials

• Work with prospective buyers

• Facilitate buyer and seller meetings

• Assist clients with offers and negotiations

• Coordinate due diligence

• Communicate with attorneys, accountants, lenders, landlords, and other transaction participants

• Manage several prospects and transactions simultaneously

• Develop a long-term referral network

Qualifications:

IDEAL BACKGROUNDS

There is no single career path into business brokerage.

Strong candidates often have experience in:

• Business acquisitions

• Senior management

• Banking or commercial lending

• Accounting or finance

• Financial services

• Commercial real estate

• Insurance

• Consulting

• Legal or professional services

• Business development

• Complex sales

• The strongest candidates combine business judgment with the ability to sell. You must be willing to prospect, ask for appointments, request commitments, follow up consistently.

• Professionalism, ethics, discretion, communication skills, organization, and self-motivation are essential.

• A bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.

• A real estate license is not required to apply.
