Account Manager

Account Manager – Broadcast Television & Digital About TEGNA – TEGNA Inc. helps people thrive in their local communities by providing trusted local news and services. With 64 television stations in 51 U.S. markets, TEGNA reaches more than 100 million people monthly across the web, mobile apps, streaming, and linear television. The Account Manager supports Account Executives’ sales efforts by taking ownership of fulfillment so that the AE can focus on client‑facing activities to create opportunities, close revenue, and drive business growth across Broadcast Television and Digital. Responsibilities Provide support to assigned Account Executives on post‑sale activity including campaign implementation, maintenance, and review. Interact daily with existing advertising agencies and direct clients; maintain client schedules on television and digital, and implement special projects and promotions. Work with Account Executives, Marketing Director, Research Director, and Creative Services to support client needs. Attend sales meetings and trainings to stay informed about products and services and articulate them to clients when appropriate. Partner with designated Account Executives to identify new or incremental revenue opportunities based on campaign results. Assist designated Account Executives with contract maintenance, generation of avails, traffic, make‑goods, collection, and overall customer service. Track client audience delivery using ratings, impressions, KPIs, and campaign fulfillment. Coordinate with the team to set up new customer accounts, contracts, order entry, and revisions. Requirements 1–3 years of account management in a fast‑paced media sales environment. Track record of successfully retaining and growing clients. Knowledge of broadcasting and digital advertising solutions (preferred). Knowledge of Google Analytics and advertising solutions (highly desirable). Experience using CRM systems and MS Office suite. Ability to make decisions and solve problems independently to support customer needs. Self‑motivation and willingness to work as a team player. Creative, flexible, and able to adapt to change with evolving priorities. Detail‑oriented with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and time‑management skills.
