Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Surgical and Fertility Full-Time | In-Clinic | Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM | No nights, no weekends, major holidays off | $34.00 to $36.00/hour | San Francisco Hands-on procedure work, a predictable weekday schedule. No nights, no weekends, major holidays off. The Turek Clinic is a globally recognized male fertility practice. Our physician performs microsurgical and procedures that patients travel across the country and internationally to receive. We operate cash-pay concierge clinics in San Francisco and Beverly Hills. We are hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse for our San Francisco clinic. PROCEDURE WORK, MOSTLY IN OUR OFFICE Most of our procedure work happens in our own office. That includes vasectomy and microsurgical vasectomy reversal. Setting up and turning over procedure rooms, including instrument readiness and sterile field setup Assisting the physician directly during procedures Preparing patients pre-procedure and managing post-procedure instructions, wound care guidance, and recovery checks Handling, labeling, and processing specimens Maintaining instrument, supply, and equipment readiness so cases are never delayed IVF WEEK One week each month is IVF week, when we perform sperm retrieval timed to partner IVF cycles: testicular sperm aspiration (TESA), micro-TESE, and testicular biopsy. These cases run at off-site surgical centers. Assisting with retrieval cases Handling time-sensitive andrology specimens, where the timing is exact and nothing can be redone Coordinating with partner IVF clinics so retrieval lines up with the cycle Traveling to off-site surgical centers This is the most demanding week of the month and the one where anticipating the case matters most. CLINICAL CARE IN CLINIC Vitals, BMI, assessments, and rooming Assisting with exams and in-office diagnostics Specimen collection and basic laboratory testing Patient education on procedures, care plans, and follow-up, including our medical weight management (GLP-1) program Keeping exam rooms clean, stocked, and equipment properly maintained COORDINATION AND ADMINISTRATIVE WORK A significant share of this role, and most of what makes a complex case succeed. Managing patient communication through our patient portal and message center: answering questions, routing clinical concerns, and closing the loop Reviewing and reconciling incoming outside records and lab results, and tracking outstanding labs so no patient falls through Preparing prescriptions for provider review and supporting prior authorizations Coordinating with partner IVF clinics on timing-sensitive retrieval cases Building and maintaining charts, documentation, and tracking in our EMR Confirming appointments and communicating pre and post-visit instructions TEAM AND FACILITY Monitor patient flow and keep the clinic running efficiently Train and support new clinical staff Collaborate with providers and administrative staff to improve workflows. We document how we work and we expect everyone to improve on it Uphold infection control, sterile technique, and safety standards at all times QUALIFICATIONS Active LVN license in the State of California (required) CPR certification (required) Minimum 2 years in a clinical role (required). Hands-on procedure or surgical assisting experience strongly preferred Working knowledge of sterile technique and specimen handling Strong organizational and administrative skills. EMR experience and general comfort with technology. We use DrChrono and we roll out new tools regularly Type a minimum of 65 WPM and proficiency in Microsoft Office Ability to work on-site in San Francisco during clinic weeks and to travel to off-site surgical centers during IVF week (required) Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 lbs Urology, fertility, andrology, or operating room experience is a strong plus WHAT WE LOOK FOR Anticipates rather than reacts. COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS $34.00 to $36.00 per hour, based on experience Hybrid schedule, 50/50 in-clinic and remote Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
