Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer (DeltaV/PLC)

Amgen seeks a Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer to support clinical and commercial drug substance plant operations. The role involves developing and maintaining process control automation solutions, leading technical investigations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing facilities.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain process control automation solutions using DeltaV, Rockwell PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems
- Lead technical root cause analyses, incident investigations, and troubleshooting for process control issues
- Manage change control, CAPA, and deviation records related to automation systems
- Support capital projects and new technology implementations with automation engineering assessments
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for safety, reliability, efficiency, and environmental sustainability
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years manufacturing automation engineering experience, or equivalent combination
- Hands-on expertise with DeltaV DCS and Rockwell PLC platforms
- Experience troubleshooting process control systems in GMP biopharmaceutical manufacturing
- Knowledge of automation system lifecycle management and regulatory compliance
- Strong technical writing and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and support 24/7 on-call rotational coverage
