Purchaser

We are seeking a proactive and detailed-oriented Maintenance Purchaser to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for procuring maintenance parts, equipment, and services essential to daily plant operations. Working closely with Maintenance, Planning, Inventory, Machine Shop personnel, and vendors, you will play a critical role in maintaining optimal stock levels, keeping spending cost-effective, and ensuring part availability to minimize production downtime.

• Procurement: Evaluate quotes, issue POs, and negotiate pricing/lead times with domestic and international vendors.

• Maintenance & Inventory Support: Source tools, consumables, and parts for planned maintenance and shutdowns while managing min/max stock levels.

• Vendor & Financial Management: Track expenses, resolve shipment issues, evaluate supplier performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Responsibilities
Source parts, materials, and services from domestic and international suppliers.
Negotiate competitive pricing, lead times, and service agreements to achieve the best overall value for the company.
Request and evaluate quotations for low-stock, out-of-stock, and special-order maintenance parts.
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to improve pricing, quality, and delivery performance.
