Operations Director II - Orthopedics

Location: Geisinger Healthplex Woodbine Shift: Days (United States) Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm, 40 hours per week Worker Type: Regular, Exemption Status: Yes Job Summary Provides administrative leadership to the operations of assigned departments. Responsible for business strategy, market development, regulatory activities, and overall operational performance. Job Duties Oversee operational accountability for assigned areas. Provide administrative leadership support to partnering Directors and serve as department liaison. Collaborate with department Directors to develop, revise, and audit departmental policies and procedures. Develop business plans and oversee strategic and tactical operational plans. Create and maintain standards, operational activities, and performance measurement tools. Facilitate timely problem resolution process. Oversee financial performance, develop budgets, and provide inputs into business plans. Educate staff on key performance indicators and monitor revenue‑impacting activity. Facilitate engagement and communication with department staff. Manage employee relations and performance activities; assist in recruitment. Maintain staffing levels and mix, assess staff, and facilitate skill development. Lead annual staff patient safety education. Direct compliance with regulatory requirements and monitor incidents. Guide outpatient care management activities and participate in care improvement teams. Position Details Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm, 40 hours per week. Required Experience: Minimum 5 years of healthcare management experience and 5 years of managerial/supervisory experience. Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
