Job Description
The person in this role will leverage their legal, technical, management, and leadership abilities to establish new methods of monitoring and managing a busy team's workflow. This position includes a reduced billable hours expectation, reflective of the paralegal (billable) and workflow coordination (non-billable) duality of the role.
Requirements
- Paralegal Certificate or Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience
- 5 years defense litigation paralegal experience
- Demonstrated leadership skills and characteristics
- Experience in a project management, lead, or supervisory/pseudo-supervisory role a plus
- Ability to work effectively with various personalities at all organizational levels
- Willingness to take initiative, ask questions, formulate solutions, and provide instruction
- Strong technical abilities including MS Office, timekeeping/billing, document management, and an understanding of database and e-discovery concepts
- Ability to evaluate processes, identify improvements, and recommend changes
- Proven ability to collaborate and lead others toward a common goal
- Highly organized, able to prioritize workload, and excellent follow-through
- Attentive to detail, highly accurate, and commitment to quality
- Able to function independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
