ED TECH - PRN

Employment Type: Part time Shift: PRN – Days – Emergency Department – Good Samaritan Hospital, Greensboro, GA Position Purpose: Carries out routine patient care duties & related activities under the direct supervision of a RN. Responsibilities Assess the direct/indirect needs of patients within the scope of practice. Plan and prioritize patient safety needs. Implement appropriate patient safety activities. Evaluate effectiveness of specific patient safety activities. Communicate patient safety needs and confidentiality issues. Maintain a pleasant, polite and understanding demeanor when dealing with patients, answering the phone, or interacting with hospital personnel and guests. Respond quickly to patient safety needs. React to changes in patient needs with initiative. Work effectively in stressful situations. Maintain clean, neat, professional appearance. Exercise a high degree of initiative and good decision‑making ability. Requirements Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS through the American Heart Association required at time of hire. Education: High School Diploma required. Formal specialty training preferred. Experience: No experience required. Medical terminology and behavioral health experience preferred.
