POLICE PATROL OFFICER - FULL TIME The Town of Belchertown is accepting internal applications for the position of full-time Patrol Officer in the Belchertown Police Department. The Patrol Officer is responsible for ensuring public safety and enforcing laws in conformance with department rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Duties include crime prevention, criminal investigations, traffic enforcement, emergency response, and community policing. Applicants must possess a valid Massachusetts driver's license, an active Massachusetts Class A Firearms License, and must have successfully completed an MPTC-certified full-time police academy, preferred. Candidates must also meet the physical standards as established by the Municipal Police Training Committee and be able to obtain and maintain certification through the Massachusetts Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Commission. This position has an anticipated start date of September 1, 2026, with a FY27 hourly base pay range for a Patrol Officer of $28.53-$36.24, based on a 40-hour work week with a schedule of 4 days on 2 days off.
