About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director of Finance and Planning to provide strategic leadership and oversight of all financial operations within the Office of Global Affairs. The successful candidate will be responsible for budgeting, accounting, procurement, and payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and developing and implementing financial controls, budgets, forecasts, and reports. This role involves serving as a key partner to the Senior Vice Provost, analyzing the financial goals of various units, and advising on the best strategies for financial and operational success. The Executive Director will also lead discussions on staff planning, resource allocation, and maintain a successful revenue operation. Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree and over 5 years' of experience in a complex financial environment, or a Master’s degree with over 3 years' of experience. Essential qualifications include advanced knowledge of financial management practices, proficiency in Excel and database management systems, and the ability to transform business data into strategic financial decisions. The role requires strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work with diverse populations and maintain confidentiality. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with PeopleSoft HR and Finance systems and knowledge of financial policies in a higher education setting. The Executive Director will also be involved in staff supervision, policy development, and will act as the Director in the absence of the Senior Vice Provost.
