Geography Functional Lead Associate Director - Study Execution

Associate Director overseeing data-management operations and team execution within a geographic region. The role balances day-to-day operational delivery, compliance, and quality standards with strategic leadership, team development, and cross-functional collaboration across clinical trial sites.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day data management execution and operational metrics within assigned geography; ensure efficiency, compliance, and inspection readiness
- Manage and develop local teams; align performance to Global Data Management and Standards; guide technical skill-building and onboarding
- Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and career development; lead recruiting and performance management activities
- Partner with functional leads and operations teams to track workload, capacity utilization, and workload balance across studies
- Identify and escalate operational or compliance risks; drive mitigation, continuous improvement, and standardized practices across sites
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Life Science, Management, or related field with 8+ years organizational management in biopharma, including 2+ years people management
- Or Advanced degree with 4+ years organizational management in biopharma, including 2+ years people management
- Proficiency in workload planning, resourcing systems, and performance metric tools
- Understanding of Good Clinical Practice, 21 CFR Part 11, and local/global regulatory requirements
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams through influence and stakeholder alignment
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and audit processes
