In this assignment, you’ll be placed based on where your expertise is needed most, with a caseload capped at 20 students. You’ll play a key part in developing and implementing individualized education plans, collaborating with a supportive team, and creating a positive learning environment.

Ideal Qualifications & Experience:

• Current Special Education licensure for Alabama with required endorsements (no substitutes permitted)
• Demonstrated experience in self-contained classroom settings
• Proven ability to tailor instruction to varying abilities and needs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educators, students, and families
• Commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for assigned students
• Deliver targeted instruction using adaptive teaching methods
• Track and document student progress, adapting approaches as necessary
• Engage in regular communication with families and educational staff to support each student’s goals
• Maintain compliance with state and federal Special Education regulations
