About the Position

Job Title: LTAC Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: LTAC Duration: 8 weeks Shift: 06:00 - 18:15 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required, 2 - 5 years preferred License: Must have a valid RN license, either CO or multi-state compact Certifications: Must have ACLS and BLS certifications, certified through the American Heart Association Must-Have: - Vent/trach experience - Knowledge of central lines - Preferred wound care experience Description: The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to patients. This is achieved by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy and procedures. The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership. The role involves anticipation and planning for the safe delivery of care. Maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education is essential. The Registered Nurse delegates patient care priorities according to the education and experience of the available staff. Additionally, they provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care. Patient ratios are 1:6.
