Job Skills / Requirements Position Overview: The Shift Lead plays a key role in supporting daily operations by setting the standard for cleaning quality, helping coordinate team activities, and acting as a first point of contact for staff. This position is hands‑on and responsible for maintaining clean and healthy environments, while also serving as a resource and example to other team members. The Shift Lead reports directly to either the Shift Supervisor or the Site Manager; whomever is on site. Essential Functions: Set the pace and example for cleaning standards, safety, and professionalism on‑site. Perform all cleaning duties for facilities using approved products, tools and procedures. Use all cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively. Sweeping, mopping, polishing, trash removal, restroom cleaning, windows, dusting, etc. Communicate supply needs and site conditions to the Shift Supervisor or Site Manager. Additional Essential Functions: Ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision. Ability to be flexible and work at a fast pace. Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers with courtesy and respect. Ability to work cooperatively with others. Ability to accept direction and constructive criticism. Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner. Ability to effectively multitask and manage multiple projects. Ability to contribute to the overall team effort including being consistently in uniform and on time. Ability to pay close attention to small details. Ability to read and write. Physical Demands: Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, kneeling, bending, twisting, reaching, squatting, and crawling. Must be able to work in varying warehouse environments and temperatures, including exposure to noise, heat, cold, and indoor/outdoor conditions.
