Developer II

AAA Club Alliance is looking for a Developer IIto join our team in Wilmington, DE. You'll build and enhance applications and enterprise platform solutions, especially on ServiceNow, that replace manual processes with automation and give business units better visibility into their operations. You'll work closely with business stakeholders, the Business Systems Analyst (BSA), and Enterprise Architecture to turn business needs into scalable technical solutions.What You'll Do:Develop components within assigned applications and test integrated components and modules as they are completed.Carry out day-to-day development tasks in line with our standards, methodologies, and priorities.Take part in modifying and enhancing applications, including assigning project-related tasks.Test applications at every phase to confirm proper functionality and end-user acceptance.Review and document applications throughout development to ensure adherence to standards.Work with the BSA to develop project development and implementation plans, system equipment specifications, and department standards.Provide accurate estimates for development and implementation plans.Contribute to tactical planning and design specifications at both the micro and macro levels.Help define development methodologies, naming conventions, and data modeling approaches.Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture and other IT units on tactical plans, designs, and specifications.Design and implement platform automation solutions (e.g., ServiceNow) that eliminate manual processes, cut processing time, and improve operational efficiency across business units.Build reusable components, custom portal widgets, and dashboards that expand platform capabilities and drive adoption in departments such as Asset Management, Facilities, Insurance Operations, and Automotive Services.Partner with business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities, build proof-of-concept solutions, and modernize legacy processes using current platform standards.Automate administrative processes such as user provisioning, deactivation, and lifecycle management.Design scalable frameworks for asset and configuration management that support future growth into new asset types and Configuration Item (CI) tracking.Build and maintain operational reporting and KPI dashboards for team leads and process owners.Lead data quality initiatives, including record standardization and cleanup, to improve reporting accuracy and configuration management integrity.Perform secure code scanning and address any vulnerabilities found in completed modules.Acknowledge and abide by Information Security Policies.Participate in PCI compliance, including providing evidence for quarterly and annual audits.Minimum Qualifications Include:Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent, with at least 6 years of experiencein a development environment (or an equivalent combination of education and work experience).Extensive experience with leading data and/or business modeling tools.Extensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle, with object-oriented development experience using development tools, J2EE and/or .NET, and SQL and/or Oracle.Certification in at least one major development tool (three certifications preferred).Experience with the design, development, testing, and administration of various types of systems and databases.Hands-on experience developing and administering enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow, including workflow automation, Flow Designer, and Service Portal development.Experience designing and building reusable custom components and widgets adopted across multiple business units.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Include:Strong analytical and problem-resolution skills.Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to understand end-user needs.Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies.Ability to apply logic and critical thinking to accomplish objectives and to identify and resolve problems.Demonstrated accountability and a record of efficiently producing quality work.Ability to translate business processes into automated workflows and scalable technical solutions.Skill in building dashboards and reporting tools that support data-driven decisions and operational visibility.Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, partnering directly with business units to identify automation opportunities and improve solution quality.Full time Associates are offered a comprehensive benefits package that includes:Medical, Dental, and Vision plan optionsUp to 2 weeks Paid parental leave 401k plan with company match up to 7%2+ weeks of PTO within your first yearPaid company holidaysCompany provided volunteer opportunities + 1 volunteer day per yearFree AAA MembershipContinual learning reimbursement up to $5,250 per yearAnd MORE!
