The Role

Onboarding Coordinators at OnPay are primarily responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate setup of payroll accounts for all new clients. They provide valuable payroll expertise and collaborate closely with internal teams and clients to facilitate a smooth and successful onboarding process.

The daily responsibilities of an Onboarding Coordinator include reviewing notes and account setup requirements for new clients, gathering and analyzing payroll history reports from legacy systems, ensuring that other internal teams meet delivery deadlines, and performing quality assurance on the completed account setups.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee our new client enrollment pipeline to ensure a seamless account setup and onboarding experience

• Extract and gather historical payroll data across various payroll platforms for smooth data migration into OnPay

• Audit historical payroll data and account configurations to identify, resolve, and communicate any exceptions or remediation items to clients

• Serve as a subject matter expert on OnPay’s platform and full suite of services

• Deliver deep payroll technical knowledge, including subject wage and tax details, tax filings, earnings/deductions, retirement plans, and accrual policies

• Maintain high organization by leveraging daily task lists, deal boards, and dashboards to prioritize duties against delivery deadlines

• Respond to client questions and onboarding inquiries with promptness, accuracy, and professionalism

• Engage with internal teams and clients through phone, chat, and email

• Collaborate across departments to deliver timely operational updates to Account Executives and clients

• Support onboarding process improvements by offering constructive feedback and operational insights

• Help train and mentor new team members as required

• Payroll knowledge and expertise

• Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to work with various types of clients

• Excellent written and verbal communication

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, with a sense of urgency

• Detail-oriented and very organized

• Self-starter and highly motivated to make a meaningful impact at a fast-growing, exciting company

Education and Experience:

• 3+ years of payroll experience, preferably in a client-facing onboarding or payroll processing environment

• Must be knowledgeable in subject wages, payroll taxes, earnings/deductions, and payroll reporting

• College experience (degree strongly preferred)

Compensation includes a pay range of $28.84-$31.25 . Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
