Title: Systems Application Analyst

Location: Miami, FL / Onsite

Duration: 6+ month contract

Job Summary

The Systems Application Analyst is responsible for the operational ownership, stability, and continuous improvement of assigned applications and serves as the primary point of accountability for the company’s primary applications, ensuring they meet business needs, operate reliably, and align with enterprise technology and security standards.

Job Functions

• Serve as the primary, hands-on operational owner, to the assigned systems and applications used across all environments.
\n
• Oversee day-to-day application operations, including monitoring performance, managing incidents, and coordinating resolution of system issues.
\n
• Act as the central point of contact between business teams, IT, vendors, compliance and support partners for application-related matters.
\n
• Partner with IT and vendors to ensure system availability, stability, and compliance with technology standards and regulatory requirements.
\n
• Support application enhancements and configuration changes, translating operational needs into clear requirements and validating delivered solutions.
\n
• Participate in release planning, testing, and deployment coordination to minimize operational disruption.
\n
• Maintain application documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge artifacts to support consistent system use and supportability.
\n
• Collaborate with compliance, security, and audit partners to support regulatory adherence and internal controls.
\n
• Collaborate with developers and UAT teams to ensure solutions meet expectations. This may require working in a lab environment.
\n
• Support shipboard teams by providing functional guidance, troubleshooting assistance, and operational insight related to the main systems.

Essential Experience Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
\n
• 3-5+ years of experience in application support, application ownership, IT operations, or business systems support.
\n
• Experience supporting enterprise applications in an operational or production environment.
\n
• Strong understanding of application lifecycle management and production support processes.
\n
• General knowledge of enterprise technology concepts, including systems integrations, data flows, and infrastructure dependencies.
\n
• Familiarity with incident, problem, and change management practices (ITIL concepts a plus).
\n
• Awareness of security, compliance, and regulatory considerations in operational systems.
\n
• Understanding of shipboard or remote operations environments and related challenges is a plus.
\n
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to assess issues and drive resolution.
\n
• Ability to translate operational business needs into technical requirements.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
\n
• Proficient in standard business and collaboration tools (e.g., ticketing systems, documentation tools, Microsoft Office/365) including ZenDesk, ServiceNow and Wrike.

• Strong proficiency with data analysis using SQL and Excel.
