Sponsorship Development and Operations Manager

AIA Dallas seeks a Sponsorship Development and Operations Manager to grow non-dues revenue and support core chapter operations. This role is responsible for building and managing sponsorships, strengthening allied member relationships, and overseeing day-to-day operational needs including building management and related administrative functions. This position is responsible for developing and executing a sponsorship and allied membership growth strategy, while also providing operational support to the chapter team. The ideal candidate will balance independent initiative and strategic thinking with a collaborative, service-oriented approach to internal support. This role combines strategic sponsorship and allied membership growth with practical operational support, requiring a person who can lead proactively, manage follow-through, and serve as a dependable partner to the team. Key Responsibilities Develop, solicit, and manage sponsorship opportunities for events, programs, and chapter initiatives. Recruit, onboard, and retain allied members while maintaining accurate records and member benefits tracking. Identify strategic chapter sponsorship opportunities, manage invoicing and renewals, and maintain accurate records to ensure commitments are fulfilled. Collaborate with staff facilitators to coordinate sponsor deliverables, recognition, and logistics for chapter events and programs. Oversee chapter operations including building maintenance, vendor coordination, insurance renewals, and related administrative tasks. Serve as the primary contact for building management, insurance brokers, vendors, and service providers. Manage finance-related tracking for sponsorship revenue, allied membership revenue, billing, and reconciliations. Maintain organized records and documentation for contracts, policies, and operational activities. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required; nonprofit management, communications, or business field preferred 3–5 years of experience in business development, sponsorship sales, membership development, operations, or a related role. Strong relationship-building, communication, and organizational skills. Experience working with vendors, facilities, insurance, or contract administration preferred. Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and with attention to detail. Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, and general business systems. Experience in an association, nonprofit, or architecture/design-related environment is a plus. Compensation and Work Style Full-time position. Compensation commensurate with experience.
