Peoplelink Staffing , in partnership with a prominent Textile Manufacturer in the Colfax, NC area, is seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join their team!

 
Machine Operator Job Summary:

• Temp to Hire
• Pay: $16
• Shifts Available:
  • 3rd Shift: 11p-7a M-F; training on 1st and 2nd shift
  • 2nd Shift: 3p-11p M-F
• Operate and monitor looms for production of woven fabric.
• Operate and monitor looms.
• Monitor yarn for tight/loose ends.
• Maintain fill yarn on loom.
• Monitor fabric for defects.
• Repair all warp stops and filling stops.
• Clean and maintain looms.
• Keep proper records.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Machine Operating 1+ years-Required
• Regularly required to stand. Frequently required to walk and use hands to finger; handle, or feel. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and walk, stoop, reach, push, pull, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
• Must be able to lift up-to 50 lbs. occasionally, 20lbs frequently, and 10lbs constantly. May also require lifting up to 50 pounds from floor to waist, waist to shoulder, and carry 20 feet.
• Specific vision abilities required include visual acuity – color, depth perception, and field vision, hearing.
• Proficient in writing, reading, speaking, and understanding English.
• Ability to add, multiply, subtract, and divide.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.  Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
