What You'll Do as an Operations Manager:Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, mentor, and support office staff, dispatchers, drivers, and operational personnel
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and employee retention initiatives
• Foster a positive, accountable, and performance-driven workplace culture
• Provide coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities
• Encourage strong communication and teamwork across departments

Transportation Operations Management

• Oversee daily transportation operations to ensure efficient and dependable service delivery
• Monitor service levels, operational performance, and resource allocation
• Coordinate closely with dispatch and fleet teams to maintain operational readiness
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Support initiatives that improve operational effectiveness and service reliability

Customer Experience & Community Relations

• Promote a customer-focused culture centered on service excellence
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, business partners, and community stakeholders
• Address escalated customer concerns and implement effective resolutions
• Identify opportunities to improve customer satisfaction and service quality
• Represent the company professionally within the local community

Business Performance & Strategic Growth

• Analyze operational reports, performance metrics, and key performance indicators
• Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, and profitability
• Partner with senior leadership to achieve company objectives and growth goals
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and operational planning
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization

Qualifications of an Operations Manager:

• Previous leadership experience in operations, transportation, logistics, fleet management, customer service management, or a related field preferred
• Strong leadership and employee development skills
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Results-driven mindset with a focus on operational performance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business reporting systems
