Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Telemetry

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30). Every other weekend, holidays as needed. Float required across all facilities as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population in a Medical Surgical Telemetry setting. This role involves direct patient observation, assessment, and managing a variety of medical and surgical diagnoses. The nurse will work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions, reporting changes as necessary.
• Administer medications and perform medical procedures as required.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Utilize EKG skills to monitor telemetry patients.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Experience with Epic charting system is mandatory.
