Nurse Manager - Endoscopy The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center is a leading institution dedicated to cancer care, research, education, and prevention. The Endoscopy department provides specialized diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal procedures in a highly collaborative procedural environment focused on clinical excellence, patient safety, innovation, and exceptional patient outcomes. The Nurse Manager plays a critical leadership role in supporting operational excellence, workforce development, quality outcomes, and evidence-based patient care. The Nurse Manager partners with operational and clinical leadership to advance strategic goals, optimize staffing and resource utilization, foster professional nursing practice, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The Nurse Manager serves as a mentor, coach, and advocate for nursing staff while supporting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and patient-centered care. The Nurse Manager contributes directly to the mission of UT MD Anderson by promoting safe, high-quality care and operational effectiveness. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN), a minimum of five years of experience as a Nurse Manager or Assistant Nurse Manager in a Procedural/Perioperative setting, and a Certified Gastroenterology Registered Nurse (CGRN) certification. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication, leadership, relationship-building, coaching, mentoring, and people management skills within a high-volume procedural environment. • Assist the Associate Director/Director of Operations in providing leadership that supports the unit vision and transformational change initiatives.
• Participate in implementation and monitoring of the unit budget to address changing patient, staff, and inter-professional team requirements.
• Implement plans to ensure compliance with established budget expectations.
• Assist in preparing and delivering staffing plans that consider skill mix, staffing resources, and patient care requirements.
• Ensure daily staffing plans and patient care assignments support quality, safe, and fiscally responsible patient care.
• Support an environment where staff practice with autonomy.
• Support organizational change initiatives and ensure staff understand the importance, necessity, effect, and process of change.
• Build positive relationships among staff that enhance loyalty and commitment to the organization.

- Required: Bachelor's Degree Nursing.
- Preferred: Master's Degree Nursing or related field.
- Required: 5 years Professional nursing experience, to include one year of supervisory experience in direct patient care activities.
- Successful completion of the LEADing Self Accelerate and/or LEADing Self Discover programs may substitute for one year of required supervisory or management experience. Completion of both programs can be substituted for a maximum of two years of supervisory or management experience.
- Preferred: Five years of leadership experience as a Nurse Manager or Assistant Nurse Manager.
