Job Title: Vertical Machine Center Operator

City and State: Huntley, IL

Pay Rate: $19.00 - $21.00/hour

Schedule/Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire

Summary:
We are seeking a Vertical Machine Center Operator to join our team. This role is essential to ensuring precision and efficiency in the production of components.

Responsibilities:

Prepare Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines by selecting and installing appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials, and adjust machine parameters based on specifications and blueprints.
Operate VMC machines to produce quality parts while monitoring machine performance and identifying operational issues.
Conduct first-article, in-process, and final inspections to ensure parts meet quality and accuracy standards.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, tool wear, and programming issues.
Maintain setup, adjustment, and maintenance records while coordinating production schedules and priorities with team members and following all safety procedures.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T symbols preferred.
Manufacturing certification, technical training, or similar hands-on work experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
Knowledge of CNC machine operations and basic machine setup procedures.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and commitment to quality; ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform tasks requiring standing, bending, kneeling, manual dexterity, and visual accuracy.
