Lead Clinician Holy Family Institute (HFI) is a 120‑year‑old Catholic organization with an impeccable history of serving children and families in the Pittsburgh Region. Location: 1500 Woodcrest Avenue, Moon Township, PA – Onsite Salary: $65,000 – $72,000 a year USD Employment Type: Full‑time Experience Level: Intermediate (3–5 years) Reports to: Program Manager Program: Long Term Foster Care (LTFC) Hours: Full‑time; flexible and on‑call rotation required Mission and Need Holy Family Institute (HFI) serves children and families in the Pittsburgh Region across many programs. General Statement The Clinical and Behavioral Support Specialist conducts mental health assessments for all minors in care and provides ongoing individual, group and crisis intervention. Acts as a mentor for the minor and assists the program staff in stabilizing the minor and working with the minor on existing behavioral issues. Oversees minor’s progress and shares updates/recommendations with the care provider staff to ensure holistic support for the minor’s treatment plan. The ratio of minors to clinicians shall not be greater than 12:1. Essential Duties Promote the Mission and Philosophy of Holy Family Institute Collaborate with the LTFC multi‑disciplinary team to ensure delivery of services Design, develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior support plans or DPW Individual Service Plans (ISPs) Identify behavioral needs and create goals and intervention techniques to assist minors Evaluate methods and recommend changes to support behavioral needs Develop intake assessment, individual service plan, family reunification and discharge plans Collaborate with youth to establish achievable goals that promote personal development and independent living skills Create independent living skill plans in accordance with the minor’s identified goals Collaborate with other members of the clinical team to monitor client progress and areas of concern Complete required documentation to maintain compliance in a timely manner Elevate client‑related concerns in a timely manner Develop and maintain a professional and supportive relationship with all agency staff, volunteers, ORR, CYF, ICE, VERA, and community Handle unanticipated events and crisis situations in a positive, constructive manner; respond personally to clients, family members, sponsors, volunteers and community leaders Provide training and ongoing follow‑up on crisis intervention techniques Participate in the on‑call rotation and follow procedures when providing on‑call services Model and assist in the implementation of the HART Model and Trauma‑Informed Care Participate in all required agency and regulatory trainings within the expected time frame Work collaboratively with staff, children, families, service providers, and others Report civil or criminal convictions, charges, arrests, investigations, or adjudications that arise since the last background investigation, including those related to sexual abuse Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor Requirements Master’s degree in social work with clinical experience in the program, or a Master’s in psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science where direct clinical experience is a program requirement; or Bachelor’s degree in relevant behavioral science plus 5 years of clinical employment experience Must be licensed or eligible for licensure Excellent communication skills in English (reading, writing, and speaking) Must have or be able to obtain Act 33, 34 and FBI Clearances Physical Requirements Ability to perform essential job functions consistently, safely and successfully with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with ADA, FMLA and other standards Ability to follow crisis and behavior de‑escalation techniques as taught by the program Ability to talk, listen and speak clearly on the telephone Commitment to Social Justice Holy Family Institute and its affiliated organizations are committed to an environment that respects and values every human being and individual differences.
