Join us and help shape the future of aerospace and defense.The following position is to join our Corporate Strategy & Development team (CS&D):The Corporate Strategy & Development group is responsible for driving the company’s long-term growth and value creation by shaping strategic priorities, evaluating new market opportunities and executing mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and other strategic transactions. CS&D reports directly to RTX’s President & CEO and the team serves as advisors to company leadership on the highest value issues and opportunities facing the company.The Manager position will be responsible for supporting a wide range of strategy and M&A projects. This individual will partner closely with senior leaders to evaluate growth opportunities, drive portfolio strategy, and support M&A transactions. The candidate must be a methodical, structured thinker and must have the ability to take initiative and ownership of assigned projects/tasks and independently drive for results.What You Will DoSupport the development and execution of RTX’s enterprise and business unit strategies aligned with long-term growth objectivesConduct defense and commercial aerospace market, customer, and competitor analyses to assess industry trends, threats, or emerging opportunitiesAssess customer needs, defense budget priorities, acquisition trends, and geopolitical developments to inform strategiesSupport annual strategic planning processes, portfolio reviews, and long-range business unit planningContribute to acquisitions, divestitures, other financial transactions and strategic opportunities by supporting financial modeling, presentation development and due diligence executionConstruct analytical models in support of various strategy analysesAssist in the preparation of senior-level briefings, which involves summarizing and communicating insights at the right levelBalance multiple projects while collaborating in a cross-functional work environmentQualifications You Must Have Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experienceProven analytical and financial modeling skillsProficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint requiredQualifications We PreferAerospace & defense, industrial, or technology sector experienceAbility to take ownership of assigned projects/teams, handle ambiguity and independently drive for resultsStrong problem-solving skills (prioritization, critical thinking, hypothesis creation, etc.)Ability to think pragmatically – not just theoretically – and drive execution of conceptsExperience in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentOutstanding multi-tasking and teamwork capabilitiesFamiliarity with financial data services (e.g., S&P Capital IQ, Factset, Bloomberg)Proven ability to listen, negotiate, influence and persuade othersWhat We Offer:Whether you’re just starting out on your career journey or are an experienced professional, we offer a robust total rewards package with compensation; healthcare, wellness, retirement and work/life benefits; career development and recognition programs. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
