Your work schedule will typically be Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., allowing for a structured environment while providing ample opportunity for collaboration and client care. Key Responsibilities As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with Maxim Healthcare, your responsibilities will include: Conducting thorough evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms. Collaborating with clients to create personalized treatment plans that address their individual needs, goals, and preferences. Employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in your practice. Providing education and support to clients and families regarding mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care techniques to enhance therapeutic outcomes. Monitoring client progress diligently and adjusting treatment plans based on their evolving needs and responses to therapy. Engaging in integrative care efforts by collaborating with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to optimize client treatment strategies. Remaining updated on the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatments to continuously improve your approach. Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with legal and ethical standards through meticulous documentation of client records. Participating in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities to enhance expertise. Actively advocating for client needs and mental health awareness to reduce stigma in the community. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will be working with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including children, adolescents, and adults from diverse backgrounds. With a strong emphasis on empathy and understanding, you will provide culturally competent care and support tailored to each client's unique experiences, ensuring they feel heard and valued. Your work will significantly impact underserved and marginalized communities, helping them navigate their mental health challenges effectively. Qualifications To qualify for this position, you must possess: A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering trust and rapport with clients. Demonstrated empathy, understanding, and a nonjudgmental attitude toward clients' life experiences. Strong organizational and time management skills to handle caseloads effectively while maintaining quality care. Preferred Experience While not mandatory, candidates with experience in the following areas are highly desirable: Prior roles in community health settings or similar therapeutic environments. Experience with diverse populations, particularly those facing social or economic challenges. Previous work experience utilizing evidence-based treatment models for mood disorders.
