Sentara Norfolk General Hospital located in Norfolk, Virginia is hiring a Travel Registered Nurse for the Stepdown/Med-Surg Admissions/Discharge Unit!

Pay Rate: $70.00/hr

Employment Type: Temporary Full Time

Assignment Length: 14-week assignment

Work Shift: Night Shift

Department/Position Overview: This is a 16 bed unit. The nurse: patient ratio is 1:4 to 1:5 based on acuity and staffing. Patient population: IMC/Med Surg- anticipate DKA, alcohol withdrawal, COPD exacerbation, sickle cell crisis, CHF exacerbation, renal failure, dehydration, I&D.

Education: Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or diploma in the nursing field required.

Certification/Licensure: Virginia or Compact multi-state license in good standing. Basic Life Support (BLS). ACLS. NIH Stroke Scale.

Experience: Must have 2 or more years of recent acute care hospital RN experience.

The registered nurse will work in a collaborative role as part of a team to maintain and support the standards of nursing care and practice, in order to meet the health care needs of patients, their families, and the community.
