About the Position

Candidate must have worked with neurology/stroke patients in the past. Patient ratios are 1:7. Float and holiday coverage are required within the contract. Description: This position is for a registered nurse specializing in medical-surgical and telemetry care. The nurse will provide care for adult and geriatric patients. The daily census in the unit is approximately 28 patients. The unit consists of 30 beds. The role involves telemetry interpretation and IV start skills. Experience with the management of cerebrovascular accidents (strokes) is necessary. Qualifications include administering medications and managing various patient care needs. Interdisciplinary support is available from multiple services including therapy, respiratory, and pharmacy. The facility maintains a strict policy regarding background checks; candidates must have no prior license issues. Fit testing and EKG testing will be prerequisites for the role, with specific passing criteria. The candidate's current address must be included with the application submission.
