Superintendent

Superintendent – Tutor Perini Corporation Salary range: $160,000 to $220,000 depending on experience. (No staffing agency candidates will be considered.) We are a family of civil construction companies supporting critical infrastructure across the nation. Our projects include highways, bridges, mass‑transit systems, and water management facilities. Desired candidate will supervise construction on a high‑profile project in Midtown Manhattan, ensuring quality, schedule, and safety objectives are met while coordinating with subcontractors, owners, and project management. Responsibilities Supervise construction effort to ensure compliance with design, budget, and schedule. Plan, coordinate, and supervise on‑site functions (scheduling, subcontractor coordination, etc.). Ensure compliance of crafts and subcontractors with contract documents, proper use of materials and equipment, and timely performance of the project schedule. Provide technical assistance: interpret drawings, recommend construction methods and equipment. Assist project management in developing project schedule, site logistics plan, and implementing project procedures, working documents, and standards. Support Site Specific Safety Plan and coordinate with on‑site owner employees. Perform additional assignments as directed by supervisor. Maintain clear written and verbal communication. Requirements Four‑year engineering, construction management, or related degree from an accredited institution desired. High school diploma or equivalent required. 20 years of field supervisory experience, including at least 10 years as a Superintendent on projects with budgets of $200million or more. Experience in new building and/or structural construction (piles, concrete, structural steel, etc.). Knowledge of U.S. construction methods, techniques, and standards. Experience with City, State, Federal Government clients preferred. Familiarity with contract management, local trade/unions/craft, MS Word, Excel, Procure, Bluebeam, HCSS Heavy Bid. OSHA certification and First Aid certifications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
