Occupational Therapist

This position involves delivering therapy services across a facility. The unit features a dedicated rehabilitation service environment. The facility includes an inpatient rehabilitation facility and an acute care hospital. The average census for the acute care setting is around 240 patients. There is a robust therapy staff consisting of full-time, part-time, and PRN team members. Day shifts will be provided to support patient care needs. The typical patient ratios are 4 patients per therapist in IRF and 8-12 patients per therapist in acute care. The facility is equipped with two therapy gyms and an Activities of Daily Living (ADL) apartment. Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system used is Meditech. The candidate can expect to perform evaluations, treatment, and discharge planning. Team conferences and family training sessions are integral parts of the role. Experience with adaptive devices and equipment is important. The ideal candidate should be flexible, a team player, and collaborative. Weekend shifts are required with a minimum of one weekend shift per month. Increased weekend flexibility is highly preferred. Travelers are expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with existing staff.
